Copper Hills High School is pleased to offer the ACT college entrance exam free of charge to all junior students; Jordan District is participating in the state administration of the ACT test. The ACT will be given on Tuesday, March 7, 2023.
Senior and sophomore students will not come to school on March 7, 2023.
Junior students must complete the pre-registration information given to them in their U.S. History class. Students are expected to complete the registration at home. Please encourage them to complete this. If your student does not have US History class or did not receive this information by February 17th please send them to the counseling center, and we will give them the information they need to register for the test.
On March 7, Junior students need to be in their testing room by 7:30 a.m. Junior students will need to bring an official hard plastic photo ID. Driver’s license, high school ID(available in the media center)or passport. No copies will be allowed.The digital student ID will not be accepted. Learner’s permits are not an acceptable ID. Junior students that are late on test day will not be allowed to take the ACT.
Alphabetical rosters of junior students and the classroom they will be testing in will be posted in the commons by March 1, 2023. Junior students taking the March 7th ACT can select 4 colleges and/or universities to receive their ACT scores. If your student will be taking Concurrent Enrollment classes next year SLCC must be marked as 1st choice.
There will be no school for JATC students on March 7th.
Testing Schedule:
Morning buses will be picked up and arrive at CHHS at the regular time
7:30-11:15 a.m. ACT testing for 11th grade students
11:15-12:00 p.m. Lunch will be served
12:00 p.m. buses will return students home on regular bus routes
Students with accommodations of extra time that ride the bus will need to find their own transportation to get home.
Students are encouraged to bring their own calculator. NO PHONES ALLOWED!
Prohibited calculators: TI-89 or TI-92, TI-Nspire CAS (non-CAS is permitted), HP Prime, HP 48GII, all models numbers that begin with HP 40G, HP 49G, HP 50G, fx-CP400, ClassPad 300 or 330, Algebra fx 2.0., all models that begin with CFX-9970G
