New to CHHS Student Enrollment Guide

Welcome to Copper Hills High School (CHHS)! This guide will help you understand the steps necessary for enrolling at CHHS, whether you are currently in the Jordan School District or new to the district. Please follow the instructions below based on your current status.

Pre-Enrolled Students

If you are currently a student at CHHS or in the 9th grade at Sunset Hills Middle School or West Hills Middle School AND live within the Copper Hills boundary, you are already pre-enrolled.

If you attend a school outside of Copper Hills Boundaries you will need to Pre-Enroll. That pre-enrollment period runs from February 3, 2025 - March 21, 2025. Please follow the steps for a new student and begin with your New Student Enrollment application. Completing this process is important in order for your student to complete their Course Requests next year.

New Students to CHHS and the Jordan School District

If you are new to both CHHS and the Jordan School District, please follow these steps:

Step One: Enrollment

New Enrollment Application

  1. Online Enrollment
    • Use the Skyward Family Access system for new student enrollments.
    • If you do not have a Skyward Family Access account, select the green button New Account.
    • If you already have a skyward account, select the blue button Existing Account.
    • To determine your school boundary, visit the Jordan School District Boundary Locator.
    • For schools outside your boundary, visit the School Choice page.
  2. Documentation Submission Submit the required documents to the CHHS Attendance Office by March 21, 2025. Missing this deadline means enrollment cannot proceed until after the summer break.
  3. Appointments for Late Enrollment For those who miss the deadline, “New Student Appointments” will be available in the Counseling Center. Call 801-256-5320 beginning July 25, 2025, to schedule an appointment starting July 29, 2025. Complete online enrollment before your appointment. The process will include office visits, fee payments, and class scheduling with a counselor. A parent or legal guardian must accompany the student.

Required Documents

  • Certified Birth Certificate
  • Immunization Record
  • Unofficial Transcripts from the previous school
  • Proof of Residency (two items required)
    • One of: Mortgage statement, lease, or rental agreement
    • One of: Utility Bill, Bank statement, pay stub, Credit card statement
  • Parent Driver’s License
  • Proof of Guardianship (if necessary)
    • For divorced parents, provide custodial guardianship documentation.
    • If the student lives with someone other than the custodial parent, court documentation is required.
